Graphic design you didn't know you needed.

I am currently working as a graphic design contractor for a few small clients and have published a science fiction novel called The Wax King Book One: The Deathtaker's Daughter. You can get more information about the novel at www.thewaxking.com.

Most recently, I worked as a programmer in the creation of Chili Publish templates for Rotary International. There, I Created and programmed over 160 interactive Chili templates in nine languages. Templates included customizable branding lockups, brochures, banner ads, business cards, promotional cards and print ads.

Previously, I've had the honor to work for American Cancer Society (ACS). I spent 22 years there. One might wonder why I stayed so long. Plain and simple: it was a great job working for a great organization. Also, I had the privilege to work with nice dedicated people while supporting a good cause. Unfortunately, because of Covid-19, ACS needed to reduce its number of employees. Like many professionals, I am now looking forward to teaming with new organizations
to create meaningful and effective graphic materials.

8 years ago I became part of small talented group of designers and writers at ACS called "The Studio." In 2019 the group precessed 742 graphic projects (84% of all graphic projects produced at ACS) which included creating new marketing and education materials, updating existing materials, supporting the cancer.org website, expanding designed materials for other media as well as converting materials into templates to be used by employees organization wide. Since The Studio was a nation-wide group, I am already acclimated to working remotely.

Specific To My Position

  • Served as the gatekeeper and advisor for the licensing of ACS controlled images

  • Was the major designer/art director for the society's health education materials (booklets, brochures and flyers)

  • Creating editable PDF templates/forms which included adding custom text and imported graphics.

  • Was the goto designer for image fixes and compositing.
